17th December 2023 – 2023 IFH/AACRA Relay Race held today 17th December 2023 marking its 18th year.
The race started 17 years ago by the Addis Ababa Road Authority and former CRBC as a graduation ceremony for completing the current IFH Engineering ring road. In the future, IFH Engineering will continue to hold an annual program to raise awareness about traffic accidents as the city’s roads improve.
This year’s race, covers the newly finished road from Sarbet Pushkin Square to Gotera Ring Road in Addis Ababa. Athletes from different clubs participated in male and female categories, along with participants from both Gender.
In the race, winning teams of athletes received a higher-than-usual cash prize along with a trophy.
Athletes – Club and individual athletes of both genders who placed 1st to 3rd received 50 thousand Birr for first place, 30,000 Birr for second, and 15,000 Birr for third place and a trophy.
Participants – Incentives were given to those who competed in 9 different categories, including Government organizations, Banks and Insurance, Private organizations, Embassies, NGOs, Gyms, Chinese organizations, Hotels and Members/friends of the Great Ethiopian Run.
