At a Gala Dinner at Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa attended by more than a hundred participant “Gold Customer” organisations of Great Ethiopian Run, the event management company took the opportunity to celebrate twenty years of work for Dagmawit Amare at Great Ethiopian Run.
Having started work in September 2004 as the Office Manager, Dagi is now the Managing Director and has grown into what one of her close friends describes as “a power woman” but still with the same humility, selflessness and desire for fun that she had as a young girl.
Many of her colleagues and close friends including Haile Gebrselassie and Meseret Defar appeared in a short film about her twenty-year journey with the organisation, speaking in glowing terms about her special qualities and passion for her work.
