Hewan runs. As a vocalist, she especially uses road running as a good breather. she will run up to 6 km while listening to a song. She also goes to the gym to maintain her physical strength and stamina. “More importantly, I run on the road,” she says. Even before she joined Jano’s band there were times when she used to work out up to 7 days a week to control her weight and for other reasons.

“You need a good breath on stage. We will be on stage for up to 3 hours. If you see the band, we don’t just sing our songs. We sing…When one sings, the other harmonizes. The background will be receptive. So, when your breath is good, you will work long hours. You will also have strength. If you do sports, you will resist or not get tired. “something that surprises you… Sometimes even after the show is over, we have the energy to keep the show going. But the results will be seen immediately if we don’t exercise a few times. You know when you start to feel tired and breathing too fast,” says Hewan.

Hallelujah, another member of the band, says, “The sport I do at home weights. I often do smaller ones like jumping rope, doing yoga, and stretching. it will be of great use to us on stage. If you have noticed, our music requires movement. If you don’t do sports, it will be difficult. I drink a lot of water (2-4 liters) while working at home. Hewan is excellent. . . She runs. (In the women’s race) I chased her to come third in the group category and took the trophy.”(. . . both laugh)

Hewan says “they didn’t know there was a different category in the race.” Hallelujah; “Yes. . . We were talking to each other; we came together holding each other. We were having fun with the people, taking a selfie, and talking about work, and we ran around handing out CDs from our new album to the DJs and the crowd. When we got to the end, we were told it was a race, Hewi increased her speed and run away.”

For Hewan and Hallelujah, it’s their first Great Ethiopian Run. “The idea that is conveyed is pleasant. The vibe, the sport, the music, the overall vibe is great.”

Now we will have a short question-and-answer session with the two vocalists
