17 December 2017 - Hawassa colourfully hosts the first of CBE 75th Anniversary 5 regions Run. Customers and staffs of the bank and the sport family in Hawassa were invited. 

President of Commerial Bank of Ethiopia Bekelu Zeleke, President of SNNP Athletics Federation Tefera Molla, Mayor of Hawassa Tewodros Gebiba and Athlete Fantu Migeso who is one of Ethiopia's best 800m Runner where the guests of honour of the event and have handed out the different prizes. 

The Hawassa CBE 75th Anniversary Race saw a total of over 2,500 finishers. The next race on the series in Mekelle on 24 December 2017 followed by Bahirdar on 1r January 2018.
